Welcome to the Hertfordshire East branch of the RSPCA

RSPCA Hertfordshire East Branch is an independently run branch of the RSPCA. Our branch is a separately registered charity to the national RSPCA and we generate the majority of our income through our Hitchin based charity shop and local fundraising efforts. Our area stretches from Shillington in the west to Little Hadham in the east, Ashwell in the north and Little Berkhamsted to the south. Click to view our area map.

Although separately run to the main RSPCA we work closely with them and often provide boarding and care for animals which have been collected or removed by their inspectorate team. Our branch provides a telephone helpline which responds to over 3000 calls per year regarding local animal welfare concerns.

Voucher Scheme

RSPCA Hertfordshire East branch runs a scheme that helps eligible pet owners receive emergency veterinary care for their pets to alleviate pain and suffering. The funds for this scheme are raised through local fundraising efforts and sales at our Hitchin charity shop.
